Lawrence Drake, founder of the Radiant Panel Association and its CEO for over fifteen years, developed the RadPad in 1992 as a paper slide chart. Thousands of RadPads were sold and used in the field for quick and easy calculations when designing complete systems or simply to confirm calculations on the job.

The physics of hydronic radiant floor heating has not changed over the years and the RadPad is just as useful today as it was thirty years ago. Today’s technology has allowed the paper slide chart to be replaced by an app on a phone, pad, or computer. The RadPad operates as a slide chart, just as it always had but with additional scroll-down charts and worksheets.

Easy to learn and use, the RadPad provides all the answers needed to design a radiant system. Coupled with pencil and paper or a sophisticated drafting program, it can tackle the simple or complex.
